Amelia Stevens is an associate in Oliver Maner’s litigation department and focuses on municipal liability, public entity law, and correctional defense litigation. Originally from Darien, Georgia, Amelia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy and Management. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2020. During law school, Amelia spent a summer interning with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Aviation and Admiralty Litigation in Washington, D.C. The following summer, she worked as a summer associate with Oliver Maner and clerked for Superior Court Judge Roger B. Lane of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit. She also completed a fellowship through the Georgia Sea Grant Legal Program at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. During her fellowship, she co-published “Promoting Coastal Resilience through Partnerships and Planning: Communities, Sea Grant Programs, SERPPAS, and Military Installations” in the Sea Grant Law & Policy Journal (Vol. 10:2).



While in law school, Amelia was an active member of the mock trial team. She was given the Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn, and Dial Award for Outstanding Mock Trial Advocate and was a recipient of the Endover Foundation Mock Trial Scholarship. She also served on the 2019-2020 Executive Board as the J. Melvin England Mock Trial Competition Director. Her third year of law school, Amelia was recognized for her involvement in trial advocacy and chosen as a pupil at the Orr Inn of Court.



She is currently a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association. Outside of the firm, she volunteers her time as an Adult Exploring Advisor with the Coastal Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America through their Law & Government Exploring Program.
