Amelia Stevens is an associate in Oliver Maner’s litigation department and focuses on municipal liability, public entity law, and correctional defense litigation. Originally from Darien, Georgia, Amelia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy and Management. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2020. During law school, Amelia spent a summer interning with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of Aviation and Admiralty Litigation in Washington, D.C. The following summer, she worked as a summer associate with Oliver Maner and clerked for Superior Court Judge Roger B. Lane of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit. She also completed a fellowship through the Georgia Sea Grant Legal Program at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. During her fellowship, she co-published “Promoting Coastal Resilience through Partnerships and Planning: Communities, Sea Grant Programs, SERPPAS, and Military Installations” in the Sea Grant Law & Policy Journal (Vol. 10:2).
