Katie Summerford is an associate in Oliver Maner’s transactional department and focuses on corporate law, estate planning, trusts, probate, tax planning and business planning.

Katie was born and raised here in Savannah, attending Savannah Country Day School and graduating from Savannah Arts Academy. She earned a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2022, where she served as president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. During her time in law school, she was also involved in the Student Bar Association, Business Law Society, Christian Legal Society, National Lawyers Guild, and was a Kaplan Bar Representative. Prior to law school, Katie graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Psychology and Communication Studies.

She serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Coastal Gardens, a non-profit organization that supports the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. Katie is currently a member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, the Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association, and serves on the Ribbon Cutting Taskforce for the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. Outside of the firm, she volunteers her time tutoring college students studying for the LSAT and law school students studying for the Bar Exam.
